Badgers news: Wisconsin lands 3rd commitment in 2026 recruiting class

The Wisconsin Badgers have secured a commitment from 2026 three-star wide receiver Tayshon Bardo, he announced on Tuesday.

Bardo, a native of Indiana, was most recently on campus this weekend for Wisconsin’s second Junior Day, affirming his commitment there and becoming the first wide receiver in the Badgers’ 2026 class.

Considered the No. 1 wide receiver in the state of Indiana, Bardo stands 6’0, 185 pounds and fielded offers from 17 schools, including the likes of Indiana, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Michigan State, among others.

Bardo had long been one of Wisconsin’s top receiver targets in the 2026 class, offering him back in October.

He had official visits set with Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Vanderbilt, but popped early for the Badgers after his junior day visit, and is now the second commit in the class behind three-star offensive lineman Benjamin Novak.

Both of Wisconsin’s commitments in the 2026 class have come from the state of Indiana, where the Badgers saw good success in their 2025 class, landing Indiana wideout Eugene Hilton and tight end Nizyi Davis.

With the second junior day now over, the Badgers will focus to spring ball, where a ton of recruits will be making trips up to Madison over the next month, getting a feel for the campus and the vibe before official visits.

But, for now, the Badgers can relax briefly as they landed a top receiver target on Tuesday with three-star Tayshon Bardo.
