It did not take long for the Kansas City Chiefs to make an impact in NFL free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via his official Facebook account, the Chiefs have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with former San Francisco 49ers left tackle Jaylon Moore.

Schefter: “A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes: Former 49ers’ offensive tackle Jaylon Moore reached an agreement today on a two-year, $30 million deal, including $21.24 million fully guaranteed at signing with the Chiefs, per sources. The deal was negotiated by Jon Perzley and Brian Mackler of Sportstars.”

Moore, 27, entered the NFL out of Western Michigan as a fifth-round pick by the 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft. A unique point about Moore is that he has never been a regular starter in the NFL. In four seasons, he has compiled just 12 starts, filling in for starter Trent Williams when he was out of the lineup.

In 2024, Moore logged five starts (from Weeks 12-16). According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed 10 pressures (including one sack) on 154 opportunities.
