Doctor Odyssey Season 1 Images Reveal Major New & Returning Guest Stars, Including A Potential Fling For Captain Massey

First-look images from the second half of Doctor Odyssey season 1 have been released. ABC’s medical series follows the high-stakes adventures aboard a luxury cruise ship, dubbed The Odyssey, where its medical team handles life-or-death emergencies amid their rocky romances. Created by Ryan Murphy, Doctor Odyssey stars Joshua Jackson as Dr. Max Bankman, the ship’s newly hired doctor, alongside an ensemble cast including Phillipa Soo, Don Johnson, and Sean Teale.

According to TVLine, the new images highlight two big guest stars: Shania Twain is back as the flirty Heather, and Paris Jackson joins the cast as a new passenger. Heather, who first appeared during Singles Week and laid it on thick with Captain Massey (Johnson), is back and seemingly picking up where she left off. Meanwhile, Jackson’s character debuts in dramatic fashion, as an ABC promo shows her fainting and being rescued by Teale’s Tristan (via TV Promos). Both storylines promise to raise the stakes for Bankman’s team when the series continues on March 6. Check out the images below:

What These Guest Stars Mean For Doctor Odyssey

Romance And Complications Rock The Boat

Twain’s Heather has already made waves aboard The Odyssey during Singles Week, and her return looks set to rekindle her playful flirtation with widower Captain Massey. In her first appearance, Heather brought plenty of charm as the two bonded over their shared loss of a partner. Now, her second visit seems to be taking that connection further, with Heather and Massey appearing closer than ever. Whether this romance will thrive or sink remains a mystery, but it’s certain to explore Massey’s Broken Heart Syndrome with more steamy drama for the ship’s already turbulent relationships.
