Unlike the incident with a Penn State fan weeks ago, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce did not “greet hate with hate” on Thursday night. Then, Kelce met a fiery fan with calmness.
After Kelce’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in Los Angeles, Kelce ignored a group of autograph seekers to get into his car, prompting one fan to lose his temper in an expletive-laden rant that was captured in a video at TMZ. Ultimately, it resulted in Kelce getting out of the vehicle to sign for many folks, including the unruly fan.

“We are the king of the streets,” the man said. “People are dying out here, and you are jumping in the car acting like a hot shot.”
During the incident, the fan shouted, “You ain’t nobody special!” while dropping f-bombs and disses for the longtime Eagles center. Nobody would have blamed Kelce for driving off after the words that were hurled his way.
Instead, Kelce, whom ESPN announced will host a late-night show starting Jan. 3, came over and signed for some fans.
“I’m not trying to be rude. I’m not trying to be mean,” Kelce said. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything about it.”
The fan apologized.
In early November, Kelce was confronted by a fan at Penn State who used a homophobic slur directed at Kelce’s brother, Travis, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end. In response, Kelce grabbed the fan’s phone and threw it to the ground, saying, “Who’s the f—- now?”
He later apologized and clearly showed he had learned from the incident, even if his reactions were justified.
