With Turkey Day hot on the horizon, it’s time to start gathering all of the ingredients necessary to prepare a decadent late-November feast. Creamed corn, cranberries, nutmeg and cloves; there are countless components to crafting the perfect holiday meal.
Lots of ingredients, however, means plenty of chances to miss one.
This November 28, then, if you find yourself whipping sweet potatoes without the sweet potatoes , don’t fret.

Here are a bunch of local grocery stores open on Thanksgiving.
2024 NJ grocery store Thanksgiving hours:
ACME : Open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in select stores on Thanksgiving Day. Others will be closed, call ahead. Normal hours on Black Friday and Wednesday the 27.
Foodtown : Most open, but hours vary by each location. Call your local spot before visiting.
Kings Food Markets : 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
ShopRite : Regular hours.
Stew Leonard’s : 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Extended hours 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday the 26 and Wednesday the 27.
Stop and Shop : Regular hours.
Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace : 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Extended hours 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for early shopping. Normal hours resume on Black Friday.
Wegmans : Early closure at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Normal hours throughout the rest of the week.
Whole Foods : Open on Thanksgiving Day, with modified hours varying by store. Most are open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Extended hours (open until 10 p.m.) on Tuesday the 26 and Wednesday the 27.

And, just an FYI, these local grocery stores will be closed on Thanksgiving: Aldi, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Trader Joe’s and Walmart.
So, if you were looking to catch the Macy’s Parade from Costco’s flatscreen TV section? You’re out of luck this year.
