Here’s a look at the 2025 Georgia scholarship distribution. The list includes all players who have signed with Georgia in the 2025 recruiting class, those who have not yet announced if they are staying or leaving for the NFL Draft, and will also include any new transfer additions. The SEC is allowing teams to have 85 scholarship players in the 2025 season.
The Georgia Bulldogs signed 28 players in the 2025 class and added five players via the transfer portal during the winter window. As of now, by our best calculations, 28 signatures and five transfer portal additions would put Georgia at 91 scholarship players on the 2025 roster, six over the limit of 85. But that number will likely be 87 on scholarship in year one right now, with delayed initial counters and first-year walk-ons. That number does not need to be met until fall camp, so there is plenty of time for additional attrition.
As of now, the roster includes wide receiver Nitro Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley, who are suspended from the team. Twelve scholarship Bulldogs players have hit the transfer portal so far, as well as two who were kicked off the team before the 2024 season started. Georgia had 21 scholarship players hit the portal last year.
Using the information available today and not projecting future position changes, the Bulldogs have a roster with 47 players on offense, 41 players on defense, and three scholarship special team players. How does the current 2025 roster look heading into the spring transfer portal window?
