The NBA postseason gets underway on Tuesday. Two teams look to punch their ticket to the first round of the playoffs as the Orlando Magic hosts the Atlanta Hawks.
The Magic actually enters the postseason as the Southeast Division champions for the second year in a row. Yet, that does not matter in the NBA, as the team’s .500 record forced them to go compete in the Play-In Tournament for the first time. The Magic have made it to the playoffs just three times in the past decade or so. It will take a lot of work from their big guns on Tuesday to get them to the first round.

The Hawks are back in the postseason for the fifth straight season, though this is the second straight season the team has been forced to play in the Play-In. Last year, as the 10-seed, they lost to the Chicago Bulls. After finishing behind the Magic in the Southeast, Atlanta hopes they can move on to the actual playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.
The division rivals split their four-game regular-season series.
