How to Watch, Goalies, Lines, Betting Odds

SUNRISE — The Florida Panthers play their second game in as many days Sunday, but in a twist, so do their opponent, the New York Islanders.

A few hours after the Panthers breezed past the Blackhawks 5-1 on Saturday, the Islanders put up a fight in Tampa — and pulled out a 3-2 overtime win despite Nikita Kucherov tying it with 47 seconds left in the third.

The Islanders flew south with momentum on their tail, New York pulling itself right back into playoff contention with seven straight wins.

Adam Boqvist, who was claimed off waivers by the Islanders on Friday, scored in the second to tie the score at 1.

Since they played on Saturday, neither team held a morning skate so we’ll have to wait and see what the complete lines will look like.

Paul Maurice said Saturday that he was leaning on giving Mackie Samoskevich a second game off after he fell ill and had to miss the Blackhawks game.

The Islanders have some bigger question marks; both defenseman Scott Mayfield and forward Mat Barzal left the Lightning game and did not come back.

Coach Patrick Roy did not have an update on either after the game.

So, we’ll see.

Update: Both players are out tonight.
