End 1: 23-20 Northwestern — Iowa responds
Down 20-10, a 7-0 run by Iowa ignited the home crowd and got the Hawkeyes back in the game.
But Northwestern silenced the fans with a triple, only for Guyton to match with a 3-pointer in the final seconds.
When Iowa gets going, it can erase a lead in a flash.

Q1 4:53, 14-5 Northwestern — Hawkeyes rough start
Pretty poor start for Iowa, shooting 2-for-9 from the floor with three turnovers while the opposition has hit 5-of-6 shots.
The Hawkeyes seem to be rushing a bit, perhaps a bit antsy. Jan Jensen is surely trying to settle her players down.

Can the Hawkeyes keep 3-point momentum flowing?
The Hawkeyes found light at the end of the 3-point tunnel in Seattle, finishing 9-for-13 with seven of those treys coming from Olsen and Taylor McCabe. Those are the most likely candidates to keep Iowa ascending from deep.
There are a lot of advantageous matchups Northwestern provides, but perimeter defense has been one of the Wildcats’ top flaws. Across the Big Ten, Northwestern ranks 15th in both 3-point defense (33.4%) and field-goal defense (40.6%). Conference foes are averaging more than 6 1/2 treys per game against the Wildcats.

Can Iowa restore home energy amid rare losing streak in Carver?
One last little bit of hangover from Iowa’s five-game losing streak can be erased Tuesday night. Three straight home losses was arguably the most jarring element of the Hawkeyes’ skid.
That said, Northwestern offers the perfect get-right opportunity.
