The Sacramento Kings are dealing with an injury bug to begin the season, meaning that Keegan Murray is coming into focus as a number-two option next to De’Aaron Fox.
With Domantas Sabonis (back), DeMar DeRozan (back), and Malik Monk (ankle) sidelined, Fox has put the offense on his back, averaging over his past five games.
While Fox has been a force, Murray has struggled, holding averages of 12.8 points, 8.0 rebounds(career-high), and 0.5 steals on 43 percent shooting from the field and 29 percent from deep through 15 games.
NBC Sports California analyst Kayte Christensen joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Wednesday morning to share her thoughts on Murray’s offensive struggles, contemplate how the Iowa product can break out of his slump, and much more.

More Kings coverage from Sactown Sports
Staying ready at all times is an important aspect of professional sports, and Keon Ellis exemplified this on Monday night at Golden 1 Center.
The Sacramento Kings’ defensive specialist displayed his three-point shooting ability during a 109-108 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, scoring a career-high 33 points on nine-of-15 shooting from beyond the three-point line.
Ellis became just the third player in Kings franchise history to make nine or more triples in a single game, joining Keegan Murray (12) and Buddy Hield (who did it three times) on the exclusive list of Sacramento shooters.
