A sports comedy-drama that won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, ‘Ted Lasso’ may have room for season 4. According to the co-creator Bill Lawrence’s recent comments, fans believe that there might be a return of the sitcom after a successful 3 seasons.
In the conversation with Collider, Lawrence mentions “You can always tell a new story with new characters in this streaming world. He’s driving it creatively. But man, I’m excited to even still peripherally be a part of it.”
He added that Sudeikis’ performance is the core of the show.
Lawrence commented that it won’t be easy pursuing yet another season as other creatives involved won’t pursue if they don’t feel there is more of a story, making sure that they won’t affect what they earned before. He praised Jason Sudeikis saying, ‘With Ted Lasso, I always have to make sure I highlight Jason Sudeikis because he had a vision for the show and it’s such a huge position of pride for me now, looking back, to have been involved with the crafting and figuring out what that show was.’
In the finale episode, Coach Ted (Jason Sudeikis) returned to America after three years. The season explored personal growth, and forgiveness, culminating in heartful moments while emphasizing the importance of community and support. Other star casts that contributed to the success are Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, and Keeley Hazell, among many others. Ted Lasso is still in the pre-production phase, yet the series has not gotten green light from the producers. As for the previous seasons, the audience can binge-watch it on Apple TV+.
