Kat Dennings Calls 1 Moment From MCU Experience the ‘Coolest Thing That’s Ever Happened’ in Her Career

Kat Dennings recently reflected on her role as Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of her favorite parts of playing the character surprisingly didn’t involve being on the screen.

Dennings portrayed Darcy Lewis in 2011’s Thor, later reprising the role in The Dark World and Love and Thunder. She also made appearances in the MCU television series WandaVision and What If…? as the same character. Speaking with Collider, Dennings described how becoming a LEGO figure because of her MCU role is one of the coolest things to happen to her. “I pinch myself about that. I told my husband (Andrew W.K.) the other day that I think the coolest thing that’s ever happened in my entire career is when I became a Darcy LEGO,” Dennings said. “They’re called LEGO Minimates, and there’s a Darcy one. I literally can’t believe that I’m a LEGO. This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me, besides meeting my husband. It is the best thing, ever.”

Dennings went on to talk about the original plans for her character in the MCU, and how her role was originally not as big. “I can’t believe that this character became this thing that’s gone over so many different things. It’s one of those luck of the draw things, because that role originally was just supposed to be an assistant that was in a couple of scenes in Thor. And for whatever reason, they expanded it and expanded it and kept using me.”

According to Dennings, fans can count on her to return as Darcy Lewis in the future if the MCU’s storyline demands it: “Every time, I was like, ‘I can’t believe they want me back. This is the best!’ So, every time they ask for me, I will always say yes, no matter what. I just still can’t believe it.”
