Paula Badosa Gibert of Spain, who is set to face Linda Noskova on Wednesday, seeks to follow her semifinal stint at the Australian Open with another deep run at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Open. Gibert opened her 2025 WTA campaign on a high note after clinching a breakthrough semifinal stint at the Australian Open. And though she was outclassed by Aryna Sabalenka 6-4 6-2 in the semis, her five straight victories in Melbourne – including an upset of Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals – sets up her up for more success over the next 11 months on the WTA tour. Noskova broke a three-match skid on Tuesday with a 6-0 6-3 demolition of Magdalena Frech of Poland. Novkova badly needed a win after an underwhelming trip in Australia, where she crashed out in the three tournaments she competed in – including a 5-7 6-3 6-4 a three-set heartbreaker against Clara Tauson of Denmark.
