Little Lake, CA – A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck 20 kilometers east-northeast of Little Lake on Thursday afternoon.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported the quake occurred at 12:24 p.m. Pacific Time at a depth of 3.9 kilometers. The tremor originated in the Mojave Desert region, which often experiences minor seismic activity.
According to the California Integrated Seismic Network, there have been no reports of damage or injuries. Residents in the surrounding area are encouraged to submit “Did You Feel It?” responses to the USGS website to assist in tracking the earthquake’s impact.
