WASHINGTON, D.C. — Massachusetts basketball (12-20, 7-11 A-10) fell 78-71 in the opening round of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship to La Salle (13-18, 5-13) on Wednesday evening at Capital One Arena.
The Minutemen recorded 16 offensive rebounds outscoring the Explorers 28-16 in the paint and 25-13 in second chance points.
Daniel Rivera made his return to the starting lineup, leading the Minutemen with a 22 point and 12 rebound double-double. Jaylen Curry followed closely behind with 18 points adding four rebounds and three assists on the night.
Rahsool Diggins tallied 12 points while snagging five rebounds. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native ends the season 42nd on the Massachusetts all-time scoring list with 1,056 in the maroon and white.
