Native Memphian Laura Faddah’s run on “Jeopardy!” has come to an end.
On Monday’s episode, Faddah finished in second place behind Harvey Silikovitz, bringing an end to her impressive eight-game win streak — the longest of season 41 so far.
Faddah’s final winnings totaled $95,599.
Despite the loss, Faddah will still return in 2026 for the Tournament of Champions, which takes five wins to qualify for.
Silikovitz was dominant in the main game, amassing $36,800 to Faddah’s $11,200 heading into “Final Jeopardy!”. He finished the game with $23,600 after missing the “Final Jeopardy!” question. Faddah, who bet $0, also missed the “Final Jeopardy!” question.
Faddah told The Commercial Appeal in January that she tried to go in with no expectations, and simply enjoy the experience — she “didn’t allow myself to consider a possibility” that she would become the contestant with the longest win streak all season.
Likely one of the most memorable moments of her run came on day five’s “Final Jeopardy!” question, which had a category of U.S. place names. Faddah was down by $200 at the time.
“A trio including Andrew Jackson founded this city with a name that evokes a great city of the ancient world,” the question read.
Of course, Faddah immediately knew the answer was Memphis.
“I could not believe it,” she said. “I thought is this a trick? Am I being punked?”
Faddah said she intends to spend most of her winnings funding her two sons’ college educations — one is already a freshman in college, and the other a junior in high school.
