Public viewing for Notorious B.I.G’s mother held in Manhattan

The public viewing for Violetta Wallace, mother of the legendary rapper, the Notorious B.I.G., took place in Manhattan on Tuesday evening.

It’s the same location where the Notorious B.I.G.’s funeral was held nearly 28 years ago.

Since Tuesday afternoon, people gathered to pay their respects to Ms. Violetta Wallace, who passed away at 78 just a few weeks ago in her home.

Many mourners have arrived to say their final goodbyes, and the atmosphere has been filled with both sorrow and celebration of her life.

She was known for being a powerful presence in the community, especially at the street renaming in Bed-Stuy, where she interacted with her son’s fans and neighbors. She was also deeply committed to carrying on her son’s legacy up until her passing.

News 12 was outside the funeral chapel and spoke to many people who showed up to pay their respects.
