Randy Travis Announces New Single “Horses In Heaven” And Yes It’s AI Created

Randy Travis is back with another single, which would be more exciting if it weren’t made with the use of AI. Although, to be fair, this isn’t his track made with Artificial Intelligence.

The other year, Travis made headlines for his first song in over a decade after suffering his stroke in 2013. After so long of not being able to sing, to be able to produce music again, even with the help of AI, was an astonishing moment for Travis and his fans.

“Where That Came From” was made with the help of AI to construct Randy Travis’ vocals. The stroke unfortunately struck his capacity to sing. Rendering him unable to do the thing he loved and built his career from.

Considering how successful his debut AI-assisted track was, I guess it only makes sense for his to keep using it to help him pursue his passion. Although Travis hasn’t outright mentioned that AI was used in the announcement, he alluded to it. Also, it is physically the only way he can produce music these days, unfortunately.

“After my last release I told you there would be more where that came from,” he writes, referencing his last AI-assisted track.

Randy Travis is dropping a new song on January 31, called “Horses In Heaven.”

Fans React To New Randy Travis Song

Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts about the new release.

“My lifelong favorite singer and my lifelong favorite animal. May be a little over excited about this one,” one fan writes.

“New music from the legend the good old Randy travis can not wait,” comments another fan.

“I Love horses and I Love you Randy Travis. You are blessed with such a great voice,” praises one more.

I would be as excited, but I just can’t get over the use of AI, even if it’s Randy Travis.

Forgive my hesitancy, dear reader, as new music from Randy Travis is monumental, and I am genuinely happy that AI can help someone pursue their passions after such medical events. However, AI in the arts leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

AI should help us with the mundane so we have more time to create, instead of doing the creating by itself. I’m concerned that this sets a precedent that AI in the arts is okay. I don’t want us to start falling down this slippery slope in the industry.
