Showers move in today ahead of cooler temperatures this weekend
AS WE’RE TALKING ABOUT. NOW, WE’VE GOT YOUR FIRST WARNING. WEATHER TO FIRST WARN YOU ABOUT A CHILL AND KELLIANNE. YOU WERE JUST SAYING. METEOROLOGIST KELLIANNE KLASS EVEN IS GOING TO GO OUT AND LOOK FOR A WINTER COAT TODAY. THAT’S ON YOUR SHOPPING LIST. I DO HAVE A WINTER COAT, BUT IT’S PUFFY. BUT YOU KNOW, YOU WANT SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT MORE LIKE BUSINESSY, RIGHT? SO LIKE THAT’S WHAT I’M GOING TO BE LOOKING FOR ON BLACK FRIDAY OR EVEN CYBER MONDAY. BUT HOPEFULLY BEFORE CYBER MONDAY, BECAUSE IT’S GOING TO BE COLD BY CYBER MONDAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S AND 40S. SO YOU’LL BE WEARING THAT THING. WE ARE GOING TO BE WEARING WINTER JACKETS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. THIS COLD FRONT RIGHT NOW IS NOT GOING TO BE THE COLD FRONT THAT GIVES US THE WINTER AIR, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE ONE OF TWO FRONTS THAT GIVES US WINTER AIR, AT LEAST FOR TODAY. THIS COLD FRONT WILL BRING IN SOME SHOWERS RIGHT NOW, ONLY A COUPLE OF SHOWERS WORKING THROUGH PARTS OF THE I-4 CORRIDOR, BUT THESE ARE VERY TINY, QUICK PASSING SHOWERS. I AM EXPECTING MORE RAIN THOUGH TO STREAM ON IN THROUGHOUT THE EARLY MORNING HOURS IN OUR CENTRAL SPOTS. NORTHERN SPOTS DRY FOR THE MORNING, BUT THEN AS WE GO INTO THE AFTERNOON, OUR RAIN BEGINS TO INCREASE TO SCATTERED AND WE’LL HAVE SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ROLLING ON THROUGH OUR NORTHERN SPOTS BY TWO, THREE, FOUR, EVEN 5:00. AHEAD OF THAT THUNDERSTORM LINE WILL PICK UP SOME MORE SHOWERS DOWN TO OUR SOUTHEASTERN LOCATIONS. SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE HEADING OUT LATER ON IN THE DAY, HAVE THAT UMBRELLA WITH YOU. 530 6:00 A FEW MORE SHOWERS AND EVERYTHING CLEARS OUT BY 9:00. 10:00 TONIGHT. NOW, IF YOU ARE HEADING OUT EARLY THIS MORNING, WE ARE WATCHING FOR SOME AREAS OF PATCHY FOG, BUT IMPROVEMENTS OUT IN OCALA NOW UP TO ABOUT A SIX MILE VISIBILITY DOWN TO ABOUT A FOUR AND A HALF MILE VISIBILITY IN WILDWOOD. FOR TODAY, WE’LL HAVE AN INCREASE IN RAINFALL UP TO A 40% COVERAGE, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT LATER ON IN THE DAY FOR THE FIRST HALF, IT’S A FEW SHOWERS AND THEN WE’LL INCREASE THAT THREAT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. NO COLD AIR YET. OUR TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 60S, VERY COMFORTABLE OUTSIDE. AND THEN THIS AFTERNOON WE’RE ONLY WARMING UP INTO THE LOW AND MID 70S. THIS TECHNICALLY IS COOLER THAN YESTERDAY, BUT IT’S NOT QUITE COLD. STARTING TOMORROW, YOU’LL DEFINITELY NEED A JACKET WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S AND 50S AND THEN LOOKING AHEAD TO SATURDAY AFTERNOON, WE’RE ONLY WARMING UP INTO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 60S. SUNDAY SLIGHTLY WARMER WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 70S. THEN THIS WEEKEND WE HAVE THAT SECOND FRONT ROLLING THROUGH AND THAT’S GOING TO BRING COLDER AIR INTO NEXT WEEK. SO MONDAY MORNING WE’LL HAVE TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S AND 30S, 30S NORTH AND WEST IN OCALA DOWN TO 39 DEGREES WITH MONDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES INTO THE MID 60S WITH A LOT OF SUN. BUT HERE WE GO THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. OUR TEMPERATURES NORTH AND WEST OF TOWN ALMOST AREA WIDE IN THE 30S. 39 DEGREES IN DELAND, LEESBURG CLERMONT 37 IN WILDWOOD. THE VILLAGES, 35 IN OCALA. HERE IN ORLANDO, WE’LL DROP DOWN TO 42 DEGREES. YOUR FIRST WARNING, SEVEN DAY FORECAST. CENTRAL FLORIDA CERTIFIED MOST ACCURATE SHOWS A LOT OF SUNSHINE STARTING TOMORROW THROUGH NEXT WEEK, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE A COLD SUNSHINE. SO HAVE THAT JACKET HANDY IN THE MORNINGS FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. STILL CHILLY, BU
