What Is The Recruit Season 2 About?

Season 2 of The Recruit picks up after the explosive Season 1 finale, where Max, the former CIA asset Hendricks risked his life to protect, was shot by her daughter, Nichka.

In Season 2, Hendricks finds himself caught in deadly espionage in South Korea, only to discover that the greatest danger maywithin the agency itself. Hawley told Tudum they ended Season 1 on a cliffhanger to “immediately throw Owen in the deep end” and because it “seemed like a great way to start Season 2.”

Hawley added that a significant part of Hendricks’ story this season is about protecting his reputation and proving his worth as a CIA lawyer.

“Owen knows that if he does not walk away with a win this season, his career is going to be over. He might go to prison,” the showrunner explained. “Depending on what people are into, they can show up this season for the big, flashy, splashy action stuff, but they can also be on a journey with this guy who’s just trying to fix something that he broke.”
