With the shock departures of Scott Thomas and Ron Hall from the Love Island All Stars villa, it was only a matter of time before two new Islanders were sent in to replace them (and shake things up in the process). And the two new arrivals appearing in tonight’s episode are series nine’s Samie Eilish and series seven’s Chuggs Wallis.
Now, of course we all remember Samie, she was a key Islander in her series and coupled up and subsequently broke up with Tom Clare, who went onto win last year’s All Stars. However, you’d be forgiven for slightly forgetting who Chuggs Wallis is. The Islander only appeared in the villa for three days back in 2021, and so here is your refresher on all things Chuggs.
How old is Chuggs?
Chuggs is 26 years old and his birthday is the 3rd April, making him an Aries.
Where is Chuggs from?
Chuggs is originally from Surrey, but now appears to live in London.
What is Chuggs’ real name?
Yep unsurprisingly Chuggs was not born with the name Chuggs, it’s his nickname. Chuggs real name is Oliver Wallis. The name Chuggs apparently comes from a combination of ‘cuddles’ and ‘hugs’.
What is Chuggs’ original Love Island series?
Chuggs originally appeared on Love Island series seven. It was the first series after the pandemic and saw Millie Grace Court and Liam Reardon crowned the winners.
What happened with Chuggs on Love Island last time around?
Chuggs had one of the shortest Love Island journeys on the show. He entered the villa on day four alongside Liam and ended up leaving just three days later on day six. The public voted for him to go on a date with Sharon, however the two didn’t have a connection. he then got to know new girl Rachel, but when it came to the recoupling she chose Brad over him and so Chuggs was dumped from the villa. Hopefully he does better this time around!
What has Chuggs been up to since Love Island?
Before heading into the villa the first time Chuggs had begun his clothing brand Booby, which he’s continued to work on since leaving Love Island.
He also plays Rugby for the Reeds Weybridge team. Chuggs has also kept in touch with his fellow Islanders, and even spent New Year’s Eve in Australia with Chloe Burrows, Millie Grace Court and Liam Reardon.
Why is Chuggs returning to Love Island?
Before heading into the South African villa Chuggs told ITV he was looking to leave the single chapter of his life behind and find a relationship.
“I’ve been single since my last appearance on the show. I feel like I’ve grown and developed so much as a person and I’m feeling much more serious about wanting a proper relationship. I’m done with the single phase of my life,” he explained. “I’m just looking for that support network, vice versa with whoever I’m with and to enter that next chapter.”
