Whoopi Goldberg is giving her two cents on the recent rumors circling around Michelle and Barack Obama‘s marriage.

During the latest episode of The View, the talk show host addressed the former first lady’s handling of the divorce rumors, which she recently shut down during an appearance on Sophia Bush‘s Work in Progress podcast.

After Michelle squashed any speculation that she and the former president were headed for divorce, Goldberg weighed in on the situation, giving her take on how Michelle, 61, handled the speculation.

“The Obamas have been dogged by vicious and false rumors,” Goldberg, 69, said during the Friday, April 11 broadcast of The View.

The EGOT-winner went on to reiterate the rumors of a divorce between the Obamas, scoffing and quipping to the audience, “Look. You know that’s not going on.”

After playing a clip from Michelle’s discussion about the rumors, Goldberg said she thought it was a “great move” to directly address the situation.

“I think addressing rumors like this head on is a great move,” Goldberg explained, while asking her co-hosts, “Do you think it’ll put anything to rest?”

Co-hosts Sunny Hostin seemed to think that the rumor mill will “run amok” no matter what, but she still expressed, “I love what [Michelle] said though.”
