Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was recently upgraded on the injury report ahead. Morant was listed as doubtful to play against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night due to a hip injury before being ruled out.
Morant will miss his eighth straight game. He last played on Nov. 6 against the Los Angeles Lakers, when he fell hard on the floor after attempting to catch an alley-oop pass.
Now that Morant has been upgraded to doubtful on the latest injury report, the Grizzlies point guard is closing in on a return.
Memphis will return home on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Grizzlies (9-7) are 5-3 when Morant plays this season.
